RFC 5160 MQC and Provider QoS Agreements
نویسنده
چکیده
This memo analyzes provider-to-provider Quality of Service (QoS) agreements suitable for a global QoS-enabled Internet. It defines terminology relevant to inter-domain QoS models. It proposes a new concept denoted by Meta-QoS-Class (MQC). This concept could potentially drive and federate the way QoS inter-domain relationships are built between providers. It opens up new perspectives for a QoSenabled Internet that retains, as much as possible, the openness of the existing best-effort Internet. Reputation-Based Service Level Agreements for Web Services
Most web services need to be contracted through service level agreements that typically specify a certain quality of service (QoS) in return for a certain price. We propose a new form of service level agreement where the price is determined by the QoS actually delivered. We show that such agreements make it optimal for the service provider to deliver the service at the promised quality. To allo...
متن کاملOnline charging in IMS for multimedia services with negotiable QoS requirements based on service agreements
In this work, an online charging model is presented based on the IMS policy control and charging (PCC) framework, which takes into consideration user’s agreements with the service provider (e.g., user loyalty programme, service subscription, etc.), with the possibility of providing online charging for services requiring a negotiable QoS in dynamically changing network conditions. The model aims...
متن کاملMonitoring of Service Level Agreements with exible and extensible Agents
In a customer/provider relationship a provider o ers services to users who pay for using them. To control service delivery certain Quality of Service (QoS) parameters have to be agreed through so called Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Monitoring of some of these QoS parameters only makes sense when done from the customer site. In a cooperation project we developed a exible and extensible agent...
متن کاملModeling and Enforcement of Cloud Computing Service Level Agreements
A Service Level Agreement (SLA) defines the contract between a cloud provider and a cloud customer, detailing the resources being provided, the price the user will pay, and the quality of service (QoS) guarantees that the cloud provider ensures for the customer. If the QoS guarantees are not upheld, typically the cloud provider is assessed some penalties, such as payment credit for the customer...
متن کاملA Novel SLA based Task Scheduling in Grid Environment
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are used in different domains and on different levels to establish agreements on Quality of Service (QoS) between a service provider and a customer. SLAs can be based on general agreements like framework agreements. In a grid environment SLA can be technical agreements which deal with properties of services and resources. Research and development in grid computin...
